If Chambers Bay and Palouse Ridge were side by side, I would play Chambers Bay 10 out of 10.

However, lets compare Harbottle work east of the Cascade Mts. side by side. If Palouse Ridge and Juniper were side by side, I would play Juniper 7 out of 10.

garland,

that practice area you saw from the 1st green is for the university golf teams. they also have their own set of tees at the 'school' end of the practice range.

i'm with doug rich on this one. i'd give it an 8 as well. we played the first 2-3 holes in a driving rain, the rest in sunny, windy conditions (~ 15-20mph winds). and we had a blast!

is it hilly? sure, it is. but this is the palouse. i think harbottle captured the essence of the area perfectly. it's in great shape, plays hard and fast, and we walked it easily in 4:15 (and i'm not exactly is good shape). it's probably a little tougher walk than CB, but it's in better condition. and frankly, if chambers bay and palouse ridge were side by side, i'd play PR 7 times out of 10.

recommended,
peter.

"I consider it a similar walk to Chambers Bay near Tacoma."

You don't even have to play the course. Just go out and make the walk from 9 green to 10 tee to find out how absurd that statement is.
