Just a correction; I was referring to Poinciana Country Club in Lake Worth, not Poinciana Resort in Kissimmee, for the record....Thanks

Poinciana Country Club is a privately owned public golf course. It is a full 18 holes, but is only a par 64 course. It is extremely walker friendly and very reasonably priced. The owners are very accomodating and pleasant. What the course lacks in length it makes up with small, heavily bunkered greens. The course is an excellent walk for a good price. The location is excellent as well, being right off of the Florida Turnpike in Lake Worth, Florida.

I have walked Lake Worth Golf Club numerous times. It is an excellent old course with "Scotland-like" views of the intercoastal waters. The front 9 was built in the late 1920's and it is outstanding. The back 9 was completed in the 1950's, and is a nice course, but lacks the magic of the front 9. Either way, the course is an easy and excellet walk - and a lot of fun to play. If you are in Southeast Florida and looking for a great walking course, I would highly recommend this one.
