I noticed Manzanita Golf Course (9 holes, 2300 yards, OGA rating of 62 and a slope of 96) is not listed. Many of us play this course year round and, especially, in summer. Last year, the Manzanita Open in May hosted over 700 golfers and raised a tidy sum for local charities…and, everyone walked! While it is short, its par 3s are tough and we “locals” consider it a gem. It’s a testament to your preference for walking golf. I would rate it a “manageable” walking course but not easy since holes 4 & 5 go up and down an easily “two club” hill.

Wildhorse Resort – Pendleton an “easy walk”
Diamond Woods Golf Course – Monroe as “manageable”
Fiddlers Green – Eugene “easy walk”
Oakway GC – Eugene “easy walk”
Nine Peaks Golf Course – Madras “easy walk”
Springfield Country Club – Springfield “manageable”
Indian Creek Golf Course – Hood River “manageable”
Pendleton County Club – Pendleton “easy walk”
Milton-Freewater Golf Course – Milton-Freewater – “manageable”
Skamania – Stevenson, Washington – “Tough to Walk” although it is beautiful.

I am 42 years young and love to walk the courses.

Why is Bend Golf And Country Club rated “tough to walk?” I would characterize it as easy, at worst manageable. I’m not a member but have played it several times.
